I love Knitting, reading, quilting and cooking. I have three children and a grandaughter. So I very rarely get to knit or quilt for myself. I'm not complaining.

Hello Again

Hello again. I'm going to try blogging again.
Many projects have been completed since I last blogged and many new yarns have been tried. I had not knitted since my children were young, when my disability started I took up quilting to keep my mind going even though my legs were not. In the last year I have done little quilting since I now need help. I started knitting again last year at this time, I had always wanted to learn how to knit socks. So I join some yahoo groups and started. Since than I have tried mittens, gloves and hats (all fair isle). I'm having a great time but spend much of my time frogging and starting over. I have also joined http://ravelry.com/ and spend a large part of my computer time on it. In the days to come I will start posting again with photos.

Clogs

These are Clogs for my daughter Jami. They are my first felted project. I used the Paton Classic wool and the pattern from Fiber Trends. They go up fast but I found the pattern was not confusing but printed so small with so many sizes I had to rewrite it for the size I needed.

Felted bag

Sorry about not blogging for so long, but Ravelry called. It is the best.
I can find out what a yarn looks like in a finished project before I even order it. We all write comments so you can alter a pattern before you even start it.
Well enough for now about Ravelry.
I have finished knitting my felted bag and just need to felt it. I loved working with the Paton Classic Wool. I have already felted a pair of knitted clogs and the Paton felts beautifully.
I also learned a Ravelry not to mix two different yarn together as they might felt at a different rate.

New Project

This my first attempt at a felted bag, of course I didn't pick a small project. This is Vogue Holiday issue 2006. I joined the fair isle felted tote on Blogspot and the Bag-A-Holic yahoo. They both have been quit helpful.

summers over

Sorry about not up the blog. Summer just seems to run away with time. Health issue are also present . I have started my first glove but pulled it all out because my daughters have the smallest bones. I have just order size zero needles from knitpicks and as soon as I get them I will start over again.
